‘Lucky Escape’ After A6 Crash

Police say a driver had a lucky escape after their car crashed off the A6 and ended up upside down in a ditch.

A full scale emergency response was launched after the vehicle was spotted just before 2pm on Saturday afternoon, close to the West Langton Road turn between Market Harborough and Kibworth, amid fears people could be trapped inside.

The Air Ambulance was also scrambled to the scene.
The road was shut for a time until it was established no-one was in the vehicle.
Leicestershire Police’s Road Policing Team tweeted: “How someone survived is a miracle but driver managed to get out & make it home without even bothering to call the Police about his car in the ditch.”
