Attempted Murder Charge After Man Stabbed In Harborough Village

A man has appeared in court accused of attempted murder after man was stabbed in Claybrooke Magna.
Police were called to Main Road in village near Lutterworth yesterday morning.
Officers say victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
A man and woman were also hurt in the incident, but not seriously.
Jonathon Ayres, 39, of Woodcutter Lane, Claybrooke Magna, was also charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon – a knife.
He appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon and was remanded into custody, to appear at Leicester Crown Court later this month.
