Appeal After Women Approached By Man in Little Bowden Park

Police are increasing patrols after receiving reports of a man behaving inappropriately towards women in Little Bowden.

The incidents are said to have taken place in the open space next to the skate park between Bellfields Lane and Glebe Road.

The man is described as being aged between 60 and 70, around 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and a stooped walk.

One woman reported being approached by a man who told her he needed to use the toilet and was worried he would “do it in his pants”. She said he then asked her to go into nearby bushes with him to help remove his trousers.

Leicestershire Police say the days and times the man has been seen are sporadic, but officers will pay particular attention to the area while on patrol.

Anyone who is approached in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable is urged to trust their instincts, move to a safe location and report the incident to police.
