Ambulance Station Demolished As Work Starts On New Care Home

Market Harborough’s former Ambulance Station has been demolished as work starts to build a new luxury care home on the site.
The 76-bedroom facility will be constructed behind the St Luke’s Treatment Centre off Leicester Road and is set to be completed in early 2023.
East Midlands Ambulance Service sold the base and surrounding land for over £1m in 2019, with crews re-locating to space at Market Harborough Police Station.

The new care home will create 60 full-time equivalent jobs and is being built by Frontier Estates, working in partnership with Care UK.
Luke Harris, Construction Director for Frontier said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Care UK again on this 76 bedroom luxury care home.
“This is another scheme we’re delivering for Care UK and it signifies our commitment in forging strong partnerships with key Care Operators, delivering bespoke solutions for them in desirable locations.”
