Allotment Holders ‘Devastated’ After Thieves Strike

A woman says she’s been left devastated after thieves targeted the allotments she says is her second home.

Over 50 sheds were broken into at the site off West Langton Road in Kibworth sometime between 5pm on Tuesday and 6.30am yesterday, with power tools and gardening equipment worth thousands of pounds stolen.

Wheelbarrows were used to move the equipment to the road, where it’s believed it was loaded into a vehicle.
