Act Of Kindness After Police Car Damaged

There has been a random act of kindness after the windscreen of a Police car was pelted with bricks.

Two officers based at Market Harborough escaped uninjured following the incident on Sunday night, that happened while they were assisting colleagues in Leicester City Centre.

After the officers Tweeted about the ordeal, a woman has gone into Market Harborough Police Station armed with flowers and chocolate for them.

Area Commander, Inspector Siobhan Gorman says it’s wonderful to know people care about the Police and the gesture means an awful lot.

William Wharton, 24, no fixed abode, has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker and two counts of Criminal Damage following the incident and is due to appear before Magistrates.
