Driver Arrested After Serious Crash

A driver’s been arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs after a crash near Dunton Bassett early this morning left two men injured, one seriously.

A lorry and two cars were involved in the collision on the A426 Lutterworth Road just after 6.15am.

Firefighters had to release one of the casualties from the wreckage before he and the other man injured were taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary.
