arson2A man has today admitted endangering the lives of a family, as well as residents and staff at a care home in Husbands Bosworth.

Daniel Milburn started three fires within the space of two hours late on August 29th and early on August 30th.

The most serious blaze was in Mowsley Court, where the 33-year-old set a wheelie bin alight with the fire spreading to two cars and one of the flats.

The occupants – including 2 young children – got out after being woken by a smoke alarm.

Earlier he’d set fire to a bin outside the Brook House Care Home on Bell Lane, although fire crews prevented it from spreading, and a van on Church Street.

Milburn – of no fixed abode – will be sentenced next month.
