Alert After Stranger Asks Schoolboy If He Wants A Lift

School children in Market Harborough have been put on alert after an 11-year-old boy was asked if he wanted a lift by a woman in a car.
It happened as the youngster was walking home from Robert Smyth Academy at around 4.20pm on Friday.
The black car pulled up alongside him at the bottom on Sherrard Road with the driver – the only person in it – also asking is he was ‘ok’.
He told her he was fine, but she continued to follow him to Connaught Road, where the year 7 student cut up an alley towards the Symington’s Rec to get away.
The school has made pupils aware this morning and also alerted parents.
The woman is described as aged about 40 with black hair and blue eyes.
