Police Appeal In ‘Chiropodist’ Theft Investigation

Police want to hear from people that may have fallen victim to a fraudster who has been targeting the elderly in Market Harborough.

In recent weeks a woman has been providing chiropodist services and is alleged to have been stealing money from customers – either taking it from their homes or under the pretense of borrowing it.

People in Kettering and Corby have also been targeted.

Officers believe there are victims who have not yet come forward.

• A 30 year old woman arrested outside the Halifax Bank in Market Harborough in connection with the investigation has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
