Harborough Shop Bosses Meet Police & Crime Commissioner
Written by HFM News on 25th September 2018
Harborough’s shop bosses met with Leicestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner today and called for more Policing resources to be dedicated to tackle shoplifting.
The meeting with Lord Willy Bach involved member of the Harborough Against Retail Theft (HART) scheme, that sees member shops linked by radio and to the CCTV control room, and able to ban thieves from their premises.
Mr Bach explained he understood the concerns and would like to be able to promise more officers, although without more government funding for Leicestershire Police it would be difficult.
The commissioner also met Street Pastors in Market Harborough and visited Lutterworth and Ullesthorpe, meeting residents, councillors, headteachers and schoolchildren.
