Harborough Community Groups Celebrate £70k Lotto Windfall

Over £70,000 of National Lottery Funding is coming to the Harborough District.
Groups to benefit from the of the Big Lottery Fund cash are:
South Leicestershire Mobile Toy Library – given £9,531, so it can help children with additional needs.
Great Glen Parish Council – awarded £4,950, to run a sport and fitness club for children during the summer holidays.
Home Start South Leicestershire charity- given £6,968, to support parents experiencing the effects of post-natal illness.
Arnesby Primary School – awarded £9,995, to set-up a community outdoor play project.
Scraptoft Parish Council, given £8,930 to organise physical activity sessions for children and older people, aiming to improve mental health and physical well-being.
Tilton on the Hill and Halstead Parish Council – awarded £9759 to create a fitness trail for the local community, encouraging outdoor exercise for residents to reduce isolation, loneliness and an inactive lifestyle.
Thurnby Memorial Hall – given £10,000 to carry out refurbishment works to the hall, aiming to create an improved space for community activities.
