Confusion Resolved Over Market Harborough Car Park Machines

Confusion over payment machines at Sainsbury’s car park in Market Harborough has been blamed on out-of-order signs being left in place after a power problem was fixed.
Harborough District Council says power was restored to the machines earlier this month, but the signs were mistakenly left in place, leading drivers to believe the terminals were still unusable.
Out of order signs were mistakenly not removed.
They have now been taken down, apart from one machine which remains out of order.
The council says the remaining card payment-only machine is affected by a separate issue involving the lamp column it draws power from, which is also out of service.
A council spokesperson said the signs had been mistakenly left in place and apologised for any confusion caused.
