Warning over jet ski use at Saddington Reservoir

Warnings have been issued over the use of jet skis at Saddington Reservoir during the hot weather.
The Canal & River Trust says the activity is dangerous, disrupts other visitors and has been reported to police after concerns were raised by local residents.

The charity says it is now looking at physical measures to prevent people accessing the reservoir with jet skis, which are prohibited.
A spokesperson for the Canal & River Trust said: “Unauthorised jet skis at Saddington Reservoir are dangerous and spoil others’ enjoyment of time by water. The activity has been reported to the police and we’d encourage others to do likewise when they see jet skis on the reservoir, if they feel safe to do so.”
The Trust is also urging anyone who sees jet ski activity at the reservoir to report it.
