Chloe’s tribute fund passes £21,000 after colourful charity run

More than £21,000 has now been raised in memory of Market Harborough teenager Chloe Longster.
The latest fundraising boost came from a colourful charity run held in Harrington on what would have been Chloe’s 17th birthday, raising more than £1,200 for the UK Sepsis Trust.
The event was attended by many of Chloe’s friends, with participants running, walking and jogging through clouds of coloured powder in her memory.
Chloe, a student at Robert Smyth Academy, sadly died from pneumonia and sepsis in 2022.

The money raised will be added to her tribute fund, which aims to improve awareness and understanding of sepsis.
Chloe’s family said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing turnout and support. It was wonderful to see so many people come together for Chloe, getting covered in colour while raising vital funds for the UK Sepsis Trust.”
A further fundraiser will take place next month, organised by Freedom Support in Market Harborough, to continue supporting the cause:
