Action Plan To Be Announced Over Kibworth Pollution Problems
Written by HFM News on 9th July 2018
An action plan on how Council bosses propose to deal with pollution problems in Kibworth is set to be considered in September.
It’s after an Air Quality Management Area was declared along a section of the A6 between the Wistow Road roundabout and Church Road junction last year.
Levels of nitrogen dioxide, caused by vehicle fumes, are consistently breaching guidelines, meaning a risk to health.
Harborough Council is also installing new air monitoring equipment to get more regular and accurate readings and working with the County Council in a bid to come up with ways of dealing with the issue.
