Work Begins to Convert Historic Mill into Flats

Work is beginning to convert a historic flour mill in Market Harborough into flats.

The Grade II listed building on St Mary’s Road forms part of a wider residential development creating more than 80 apartments.

Tarpaulins have been installed across the front of the former mill as work begins to convert it into flats.

Built in the 1860s, the three-storey mill will become a key feature of the multi-million-pound scheme, providing six one and two-bedroom flats, with new apartment blocks built around it.

When plans for the former Harborough Rubber Company site were approved, developers said: “The building potentially sets the tone for the site, representing the industrial heritage of the location and the wider area.”
