Volunteers Praised After Clearing River in Market Harborough

Volunteers have been praised for their efforts after helping clear debris – including seven shopping trolleys – from the River Welland in Market Harborough.
More than 20 members of the Harborough River Pickers joined forces with Harborough District Council for the clean-up, designed to help keep the river clear and improve the environment for wildlife.
A shopping trolley is pulled from the water under the bridge on Northampton Road
Some volunteers went into the water to remove items, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a healthy and welcoming river.
The council has thanked the volunteers for their work.
