Men Arrive At Hospital With Serious Injuries

Police have launched an investigation after two men arrived at St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough with serious injuries.

Officers were alerted yesterday morning and attended the hospital site on Leicester Road, together with crews from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Just before 11am yesterday (Sunday 20 July) staff at St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough informed police that two men had presented themselves with serious injuries.

“The men were transferred to another hospital by the East Midlands Ambulance Service to receive treatment.

“An investigation to establish how they came to sustain their injuries and the wider circumstances is continuing. No-one has been arrested.”

The incident happened after a man turned up at Market Harborough Police Station with stab wound injuries on Saturday evening, although police say they are not linking the incidents.

The spokesperson added that establishing whether the incidents are linked in any way to an on-going event at Market Harborough Showground are forming part of each separate, ongoing investigation.

Officers added an air ambulance which landed in the town yesterday morning was not responding to the incident at the hospital.
