Arrests After Man Stabbed In Market Harborough

Two men have been arrested after a man turned up at Market Harborough Police Station with a stab wound injury on Saturday evening.

The men, aged 49 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender yesterday and have since been bailed, pending further enquiries.

The victim – aged in his 20s – arrived in the car park of the station in a Land Rover Defender just after 8pm.

Officers went outside and administered immediate treatment at the scene before he was then taken to hospital by the East Midlands Ambulance Service with serious injuries.

Police believe it was an isolated incident and an investigation to establish where and when the man was stabbed and the wider circumstances surrounding the incident is continuing.

Detective Sergeant Vicki Hudson, from our Complex Investigation Team (CIT), said: “Our enquiries are continuing today and I believe there are people who can provide information that can help.

“We believe this is an isolated incident but I’d urge anyone who has information about it and has not yet contacted police to do so. Anything you can tell us, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could be important.”
