The go-ahead has been given for six new homes in the centre of Lubenham despite concerns from villagers.
18 objections were raised about the plan for land off The Green, including concerns over highway safety.
Lubenham Parish Council also opposed the development, which will include houses and bungalows and one ‘custom self-build dwelling’.

Councillors at last night’s meeting of Harborough District Council’s planning committee were told the authority cannot currently demonstrate a five-year land supply, meaning the applicant would have a good chance of winning any appeal, should the application have been refused.
The plan was approved by six votes to two.
