Thousands Brave Weather For Classic Car Show

Thousands of people braved the weather to enjoy Market Harborough’s Classic Car Show yesterday.

Hundreds of cars, motorbikes and other vehicles were on display as the popular free event returned to the town centre.

Despite the rain, there was still a good turn-out from exhibitors and visitors.

The event, hosted by HFM, was organised by Harborough Live Events with support from Harborough District Council and businesses including Steffans jewellers, Duncan Murray Wines, PRA Classic vehicle storage and Tesco.

There was also the chance for visitors to have a ride in some special cars thanks to the Sporting Bears Motor Club, which raised over £800 for charity Dravet Syndrome UK during the day.

A competition was held for the best vehicles in show and prizes were presented by Cllr Peter James, Chairman of Harborough District Council on the HFM stage.
