Community Groups Receive Cash Boost

Ten charities and community groups and have received a cash boost thanks to Market Harborough Twenty 12 Lions Club.

Grants totalling £3,000 have been handed out after the club ran its Community Awards Scheme for a second year.

Organisations to benefit were HFM, Harborough Scouts, Market Harborough Fixers, Market Harborough Sea Cadets, Ian’s Chain, Jorgies Buddies, Leicester Musical Memory Box, Hammond Arboretum, Home-Start South Leicestershire and Harborough Community Bus.

The grants were presented by Harborough District Council chairman, Cllr Peter James, at a presentation event last night.
