Herd Of Cows Escape Onto Housing Estate

Residents in Desborough awoke to unexpected visitors this morning – a herd of around 20 cows roaming round their streets!

Police were called to the Matlock Way estate just after 6am after the cattle had escaped from a near-by field.

The cows enjoyed time grazing in gardens while officers tracked down their owner.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “We received reports of a herd of cows in Desborough at about 6.15am this morning.

“Enquiries were made to identify the farmer, who attended the scene and rounded them up and took them back to their field.”
