Delight As Pet Cat Found After Fleeing From Crash

A pet cat is back home with his delighted family in Market Harborough after going missing for ten days following a car crash.

Tiggs escaped from his carrier and fled into the open countryside near Great Glen, while en-route to the vets.

Members of the Varnam family had been searching the area daily with the help of volunteers and when they returned on Friday to put down food and set-up a trap, their beloved pet appeared out of a hedgerow.

Rocco Varnam, 13, was there and spoke to HFM:

Six-year-old Tiggs, who suffered a minor gash on his head while missing, is now settling in well back-in at home will have the planned operation on a back foot shortly.

The family is thanking all those involved in the search including volunteers from Harvey’s Army who set-up cameras, Simon who was at the scene of the crash and shared the appeal on social media, Jordan Smith from Harborough District Council and people who passed on sightings of Tiggs and shared the appeal.
