Ben Supports Charity Close To His Heart

Harborough Band’s Musical Director is hosting a fundraising concert ahead of running the London Marathon to support a charity very close to his heart.
Ben Smith is raising money for Children with Cancer UK, after he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukaemia aged seven and endured three years of intense treatment.

The 25-year-old, who has been cancer-free since, will be performing alongside world-renowned brass musicians, some of his own family and members of Harborough Band on Saturday evening.
The concert entitled ‘Marathon Brass: The Re-run’ will take place at St Dionysius Church in Market Harborough.
It is the second time Ben has organised such an event to support the charity and will be the second time he takes on the marathon next month.

Saturday’s concert takes place at 7.30pm, at St Dionysius Church.
