Harborough Town FC Unveils Plans For New Fan Zone

Written by on 8th October 2026

Harborough Town Football Club has submitted plans for a new outdoor Fan Zone at its Market Harborough ground.

The proposals include a covered outdoor seating area, food and drink facilities, an outdoor TV and stage, a club shop and new toilets.

The Fan Zone would be built on existing hardstanding behind the clubhouse using a number of container-style structures.

The club says the development will improve facilities for supporters following promotion to the National League North, while also providing a space for community events and televised sport outside match-days.

Documents submitted with the planning application say the proposals are intended to “support this enhanced level of competition by improving facilities for spectators, visitors and the wider local community”.

The club says the development would create “a dedicated and welcoming social space” within the football ground, providing facilities for supporters before, during and after matches.

It would also allow the club to host non-matchday events and televised sporting fixtures.

The proposals include a “modest group of container-based structures” on an existing hardstanding area.

The containers would accommodate refreshment facilities, toilets and a club shop, with seating and standing areas for visitors.

A canopy would cover the main social area, creating what the club describes as “a usable outdoor venue in a range of weather conditions”.

The club says the development would strengthen its role as a community asset and provide an additional leisure venue in Market Harborough.

Harborough District Council will consider the planning application.
