Apology After No Bin Collections

Harborough District Council has apologised after recycling bins were left unemptied today.

Staffing issues have been blamed for the problem, which affected residents in Market Harborough.

Bins were not collected as planned today

The usual Wednesday collection had been switched to today because of New Year’s Day.

A statement on the council’s website reads: “Unfortunately, due to issues with agency staff, we have been unable to run the rescheduled collections for properties on the yellow calendar today.

“We will therefore be collecting blue-lidded bins on Saturday 4th January for properties on the yellow calendar that are located in Market Harborough.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
