Bin Day To Change In Market Harborough

Bin day is to change in Market Harborough, Little Bowden, Great Bowden and Lubenham.
The current Tuesday collections will move to Wednesday from next week.
There will also be a change in Lutterworth and surrounding villages, where the collection day will switch from Wednesday to Tuesday.

The change is needed as household waste is to be taken to a new disposal site in Coventry where it will be turned into energy, as opposed to being sent to landfill at Cotesbach.
Harborough District Council says the changes in collection days will help to reduce fuel usage and keep the bin collection service efficient and effective.
It does not affect the type of bin collected, it is simply a permanent collection day change.
Labels will be attached to bins this week to inform residents of the changes.
