Stolen Cars Abandoned in Floodwater

Police are investigating after two stolen cars were abandoned in floodwater in Great Glen.
Officers were alerted after residents spotted the BMW and Mercedes submerged on a bridge on Bindley’s Lane in the village.

It is thought the drivers fled when the cars became stuck.
The vehicles had been stolen during recent burglaries and Leicestershire Police say both were recovered for forensic examination.
