The danger of driving through floodwater has been highlighted after a driver had to be rescued by fire crews near a Harborough village.
The man became trapped in his car after it became submerged in two feet of water on Fleckney Road in Kilby at 9pm yesterday.
With the water level rising, a specialist technical rescue crew was called to the scene and used a boat to rescue the driver.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say you should not drive along flooded roads, especially if there are signs stating the road is closed.
