Parkrunners Celebrate New Defibrillator

Those taking part in Market Harborough’s two weekend Parkruns are now less likely to find their event cancelled following the donation of a dedicated defibrillator.
If the onsite defibrillator at Welland Park had been used just before either a Saturday or Sunday Parkrun, organisers would previously have had to call it off on safety grounds.
Participants had already begun donating towards the £1,200 needed for a portable defibrillator – before businessman Dan Stevens of ‘Primary Live’ stepped in to buy them the life-saving device.

The money already raised will now be used instead by the Parkrun Community to refresh and replace some of their other equipment.
