Sex Offender Gaoled

A man from Desborough is now behind bars after being convicted of sexually assaulting a girl.

37-year-old Barry Thrower of King Street in the town was found guilty of the assault at Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire in October 2022.

During sentencing in May, Peterborough Crown Court, heard how his actions “had a huge impact on his victim” who was aged under 13.

As well as a six year gaol term, which began on Friday (13th September), Thrower was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders’ register.
