Young Diver’s Big Weekend!

A talented young diver from Market Harborough is competing in the finals of a top national competition this weekend.

Nine-year-old Sebastian Karanjit won gold after impressing judges in two qualifying contests in Sheffield and Manchester in May and is now up against the very best – in the ‘England Diving National Skills Final’ in Southend.

Sebastian, who’s a pupil at St Joseph’s Catholic Academy in the town, only took up diving just over three years’ ago and has since picked up numerous medals and trophies.

Inspired by Tom Daley, the Harborough youngster is hoping to secure a place in the Team GB diving squad at a future Olympic Games.
