New Artistic Space in Market Harborough

Shoppers at Harborough Market can now also enjoy the talents of local artists when they visit.

A new ‘Community Arts Wall’ has been created in the general hall, near the Northampton Road entrance, for creatives of all ages and abilities to display their artwork to the public.

The valuable wall space was made possible by a grant of over £1,000 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The current display on the Community Arts Wall features a photo montage of ‘Chair Art’ artists – with a specific focus on market traders who have created chairs for the 2024 exhibition.

There’s also a ‘community piano’ by the wall for anyone who’s able to tickle the ivories to hammer out a tune!
