Developers Propose Changes To ‘Local Centre’ Plan

Developers want to make design and detail changes ahead of building a ‘Local Centre’ on Market Harborough’s Airfield Farm housing estate.

The development off Harvest Road was granted permission last year and will include the area’s first convenience store, as well as a small number of apartments and houses.

Davidsons Developments say some of the proposed amendments are needed to accommodate the likely operator of the shop, which has not yet been named.

They include changes to the layout including the installation of an ATM machine and changing opening hours to between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week.

Cllr Jo Asher represents the area on Harborough District Council and told HFM the development is eagerly anticipated by residents:

A planning application detailing the proposed changes has been submitted to the council for consideration.
