Further Houses for Airfield Farm?
Written by HFM News on 31st October 2023
It’s expected more homes at a massive new development north of Market Harborough will be given the nod later today.
Harborough District Council (HDC) granted outline planning permission for up to 450 homes, a new school and shops on the Airfield Farm site some seven years’ ago.
Final plans for a ‘local centre’ – accommodating retailers, a café and a yoga studio – plus a 210-place primary school – were approved earlier this year.

Davidsons Homes applied for a further 19 houses at Airfield Farm in 2021. Now the developer looks set to get the green light for another twenty – “by using the land more efficiently” – bringing the total so far to 489.
Also being considered by HDC tonight is a reworking of 315 of Davidson’s previously approved homes – to increase the number of smaller dwellings and reduce the number of four and five-bedroomed properties.
The Council has described this change as “welcome” and is again recommending approval.
