Power Cut Caused By Cable Damage

Written by on 20th October 2023

National Grid has apologised after over 100 properties in Market Harborough were left without electricity for three hours.

Homes and businesses in The Broadway and Roman Way areas are affected from just before 10am today.

Repairs have been taking place at the junction of The Broadway & The Crescent

A National Grid spokesperson told HFM the outage was the result of cable damage caused by a ‘third party’ and its engineers worked as quickly as possible to restore supplies.

They added: “We would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience the power cut caused.”

The electricity was restored just after 1pm.
