Town Decked Out In Flags To Support Poppy Appeal

Market Harborough town centre has been decked out with over 100 Union Jack flags in support of this year’s Poppy Appeal.

Harborough District Council has worked with shops and businesses to place them above premises in and around the High Street, ahead of the appeal launching a week tomorrow.

Stewart Harrison is an army and RAF veteran and Chairman of the Market Harborough branch of the Royal British Legion.

The flags will remain up until Remembrance Sunday and Cllr Phil Knowles, Leader of Harborough District Council, has praised all those involved:
