Charity Steps In After Thieves Steal Carnival Committee’s Gazebos

A charity has stepped in to help after thieves stole 12 gazebos and tables belonging to Desborough Carnival Committee.

The equipment, worth around £2,000, was taken when a lock-up on Brampton Wood Lane was broken into between April 16th and 23rd.

The town’s Welfare Committee has provided a grant of £600 towards replacements.

A post on the Carnival’s Facebook page reads: “It is with great sadness that we as a Committee want to inform you that we discovered that some of our equipment has been stolen from our storage unit.

“We will do our best and work as hard as we can to minimise the effect this will have on the upcoming Carnival as time is not on our side.

“As a group of community minded people we are very sad that someone would steal from us and put in jeopardy the event’s we put on within the Community.”
