The former Natwest Bank in Market Harborough could be on the verge of being sold.

Agents marketing the building on St Mary’s Road say it is ‘under offer’ from a potential buyer, after being put up for sale when the branch closed in January.

The asking price is £350,000.

NatWest will shut the branch in Market Harborough in January

The property, which was a bank for over 100 years, comes complete with ‘a strong room’ and a car park.

Natwest blamed a reduction in in-person customers for shutting the branch, saying counter transactions dropped by 64% in the past three years.

HSBC will shut its branch in Market Harborough on May 30th, again blaming the decision on customers moving towards on-line services.
