Have Your Say On Town Centre Masterplan

People can have their say on a raft of potential improvements to Market Harborough town centre at a series of drop-in events over the next three days.
The proposals are on display at the Symington Building in Adam and Eve Street between 2pm and 7.30pm today and again tomorrow and Saturday.
Making the area more pedestrian-friendly, installing new street furniture, more cycle parking and creating extra green spaces are among proposals detailed in the Market Harborough Town Centre Masterplan.
Re-modelling The Square, so it can more easily be used for events, is another idea, as well as improving the environment around the railway station.

Feedback from residents has helped generate the plan, which looks at making improvements over the next 10 to 15 years, and final comments will be taken in account before it is adopted by Harborough District Council.
Cllr Phil King, Leader of the Council, said: “This is a really good opportunity for people to have a further say on how Market Harborough evolves to help add to the vitality of the town.
“It follows on from the excellent work being done in Lutterworth, to look at ways to improve the economic vibrancy of the town and ensure businesses can prosper.”
