Land Rovers Targeted By Burglars During Raids

Burglars have targeted Land Rovers and stolen tools worth over £20,000 during raids in and around Lubenham.

The intruders removed doors from a Land Rover Defender which was parked inside a workshop and then stole doors and the bonnet off another parked near-by.

Specialist tools were also taken from the workshop, off the A4304 between Lubenham and Theddingworth, during the burglary in the early hours of Monday.

A workshop in Lubenham was also broken into around the same time, with tools stolen along with a Ford Ranger vehicle, which was parked outside.

The burglaries and thefts happened between 1am and 3am.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “Shortly before 8am on Monday (11 April) a report was received that a number of units had been broken into.

“The units are each used by different people and enquiries to ascertain what was taken are continuing.

“It was also reported that the doors and bonnet of a Land Rover parked nearby had been taken.”
