Harborough Hygiene Bank Launches Mother’s Day Appeal
Written by HFM News on 16th March 2022
The Hygiene Bank in Market Harborough has launched an appeal for donations of women’s toiletries ahead of Mother’s Day.
The charity supports people struggling to afford basic items like shampoo and deodorant and wants to provide an extra treat for the Mums it helps.
It is appealing for donations of items like nail varnish, make-up and gift sets.
Judy Rowley, founder of the Hygiene Bank, said: “The cost of living hitting a 30-year high is leaving more people than ever struggling to afford the basics.
“With that in mind, we are appealing to the community to donate women’s toiletry essentials and treats this month so that we can make life a little better for mums in our area on Mother’s Day.”
Donations can be left at collection points at a number of locations:
- Boots, St Mary’s Place
- Sainsbury’s, Springfield Street
- Co-op, Coventry Road
- Welland Park Academy
- Great Bowden Academy
- Farndon Fields Primary School
