Harborough Students Raise Over £2,000 To Help Children In Ukraine

Students at Welland Park Academy in Market Harborough have raised over £2,000 to support children in Ukraine.
They held a non-uniform day on Friday, which was organised by the Student Council, in aid of the United Nations’ Unicef children’s charity.
Students were asked to donate a minimum of £1 to ditch their uniform for the day.
The school said: “Like most of us, we, the school council, are shocked and saddened by what is happening to ordinary people in Ukraine currently.
“We have watched news stories showing the impact of war on children and young people and we want to do something to help.”
