Efforts Stepped Up To Entice Tourists Back To Harborough

Written by on 3rd August 2021

Efforts are being made to entice visitors back to the Harborough District after a big drop during the pandemic.

The number fell by 62% last year according to data released by the Council.

It has produced a new Visit Harborough guide in a bid to encourage tourists back, which includes information on attractions, accommodation, events and hospitality venues.

The guide is being made available at a host of venues across the area.

Cllr Phil King, who leads Harborough council, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to showcase what this fantastic district has to offer.

“And it will hopefully provide a much-needed boost to the tourism sector which has suffered greatly over the past 15 months.

“We have so much to offer in this district and we want people to come and see for themselves.”
