An historic canal bridge between Theddingworth and Foxton has been repaired after being badly damaged when a van crashed into it last month.
Bunker’s Hill Road has now re-opened after the work was completed by the Canal and River Trust.

It was the second time in 18 months a vehicle had hit the historic structure – with the charity urging drivers to slow down when negotiating bridges over the canal.
A spokesman told Hfm: “Canal bridges like this are such an important part of the area’s history and character and it’s a real shame to see them damaged in this way. “If drivers just slowed down a bit when approaching historic bridges like this we can make sure that they’re protected for everyone to enjoy.”
