Holiday Attraction On Working Farm Wins Rural Business Award

A family who suffered a tragedy say they are proud their business near Sibbertoft has been named one of the best in rural Britain.
Brook Meadow, which has holiday lodges, a fishing lake and camping facilities, on a working farm, has won the Triumph Over Adversity Award at the Rural Business Awards, run in partnership with Amazon.
Claire Hart runs the business together with her parents Jasper and Mary Hart.
She took a career change to join them, following the sudden death of her brother David in 2008, aged 36:

Brook Meadow is surrounded by 400 acres of pasture and arable land, with 20 acres designated for holidaying and a five-acre lake.
The winners of the awards were decided by an independent panel of judges drawn from the rural business sector, rural public sector agencies and rural charitable organisations.
