Harborough’s Coronavirus Rate Drops Below National Average

The Coronavirus infection rate in the Harborough District has fallen below the national average for the first time since the lockdown began.

Latest Public Health England figures also show it has dropped under 100 per 100,000 thousand people.

In the week to February 23rd, the infection rate was 97 per 100,000 – the England average was 103.

There were 91 positive cases in those seven days – nearly a 50% drop on the previous week.

The Harborough District is now placed 153rd in a list of 325 areas of England – the higher the position, the higher the infection rate.
