Woman’s Death ‘Not Suspicious’

Police say the death of a woman at a house in Rothwell is not suspicious.

A man who was helping Police with their inquiries has been released with no further action, and a cordon that was in place around the property on Crispin Street has been removed.

An investigation was launched when the woman, aged 49, was discovered on Thursday.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “We can now confirm the death of a 49-year-old woman in Crispin Street, Rothwell on Thursday, October 22 is not being treated as suspicious and remains unexplained.

“The 54-year-old man who was helping officers with their inquiries has been released with no further action.

“There is no longer a scene guard in place.”
